IBM is accelerating its foray into digital assets with the launch of Digital Asset Haven, a platform designed to integrate cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets into corporate finance. Developed in collaboration with crypto wallet provider Dfns, the SaaS solution targets U.S. businesses and government entities, offering custody, payments, and yield opportunities across 40+ blockchain networks. Slated for late 2025, the platform aims to simplify regulatory compliance and DeFi protocol navigation.

The move aligns with a broader institutional shift toward stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). Tokenized equities surged 220% in July, with blockchain addresses holding these assets exploding from 1,600 to 90,000—a growth trajectory reminiscent of DeFi's early days. chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov notes blockchain-based compliance tools could make regulated transactions exponentially faster and cheaper than legacy systems.
